Take Action Now! In response to overwhelming public outcry, the New York State DEC has announced
four public hearings to take comment on the proposed changes for rules governing high volume hydraulic fracturing, or "hydro-fracking,"
natural gas drilling methods in shale formations in NY, like Marcellus. DEC public hearings will be at the following locations:
The DEC will be available prior to the start of each session to answer individual questions. Doors will open at 6 p.m. at each hearing, and the hearings will begin at 7 p.m. There will be a five-minute time limit, but you can submit written comments as well. Take Action Now!
